Hello, world
This is the first post. It exists mostly so the site has one, and so that the deploy pipeline has something real to build.
> Why a static site
I want a place to put writing and small project notes that does not need maintenance. A static site generator gives me HTML files at build time; a web server hands them out. There is no application, no database, no login, and therefore almost no attack surface and almost nothing to patch.
> The stack
- Zola for the generator.
- The zola-quiet
theme, vendored in
themes/zola-quiet. - A tiny nginx container serving the built
public/directory. - Cloudflare in front for TLS, caching, and WAF.

Write a Markdown file in content/posts/, commit, push. A GitHub
Action builds the site and syncs the result to the box. Caddy routes
mortenvindberg.com to the container. Done.
